Everybody asks the question, “Why are so many people supporting Donald Trump?”. There doesn’t seem to be any solid reason why he appeals to so many people.

I recently was reading about what the effects of poor nutrition had on a person’s personality and behavior and it clicked for me. There is reason to the madness and I think it’s caused by poor and even toxic nutrition mainly from junk food and the behavior that it brings on in the people who are in fact to a certain degree junk food junkies.

A long-term study from the University of Southern California found that poor nutrition fuels irrational behavior in people (ref).

A Harvard found that Fast food is high in sugar, fat and poor in a number of key nutrients for healthy brain activity (ref). This leads to a more aggressive and irrational behavior (ref).

A study conducted by Gwendolyn Seidman Ph.D. pointed out that people tend to seek out and associate themselves with other who are more like them. The behavior that Donald Trump is a magnet to a large number of people who possesses similar aggressive tendencies.

According to many reliable sources Donald Trump is a fast food junkie and is proud of it (ref). By promoting the image of fast food Trump is saying, hey I am just like you, to hell with those purists that say you have to eat right. This plays right into the hand of millions of people who have spent years feeling guilty as the media and scientists told them they were destroying their health.

Aside from unhealthy complex fats and sugars fast foods contain a number of brain altering toxins like; fluorine contamination from the packing materials, potassium bromate (may affect the nervous system causing headache, irritability, impaired thinking and personality changes.), Propylene Glycol (depression and seizures), TBHQ (neurotoxic effects, convulsions), Calcium Sulfate, Phosphate Additives (depression), BHT (behavioral issues), Propyl gallate (heart attacks, and cardiovascular disorders) and Phthalates (decreases in mental development) (ref).

Donald Trump boasts about being an avid fast food lover and is proud of it. This appeals to a whopping 85 million Americans(ref) who see themselves being just like Trump (ref). Instead of being shamed by the media and health purists they see Trump is just like them.

More Republicans than Democrats are likely to be fast food and junk food eaters (ref). Those Democrats that are attracted to Trump would more than not be those who are also food junkies as they would also have a tendency to be more aggressive and find affinity with a Trump like figure rather than Biden who would be more attractive to vegans (ref) and nutritionists.

Junk food like drugs is addictive and addicts are drawn to authoritarians who are aggressive, overbearing, over promising, exaggerators, victim declarators and more importantly destructive to the very norms people have come to hate.
