Stopping Anger with Violence against old TVs
Have you ever just wanted to smash things up? Kids do it all the time with their toys. Typical high volume anger in an adult usually ends up with something broken.
Humans and other animals exhibit certain anger traits that result in stuff getting broken. Great Apes, Elk, Bears and even Dolphins do damage to the environment or other creatures when they feel great angst.
Many people say the love certain video violent games because it helps relieve them from their stress. When was the last time you chopped a chord of wood?
I guess that what is happening is an expulsion of fight or flight energy. Unfortunately, people are getting hurt because of the uncontrollability of this phenomenon.
Some sports help get rid of energy, but don’t seem to satisfy the urge to destroy something. Why is there this urge to destroy?
Vandals sacked Rome, which is where we get the word vandalise from.
Large demonstrations end up turning into riots. A riot is simple a demonstration that ends up with vandals destroying things.
How can we tame this deep instinct to vent our anger without destroying our surroundings and other people.
Here is a solution. One that I think will give people a way to vent their anger against something physical.
There are more old discarded televisions than angry people. Set up a site were people can throw rocks from a safe distance at old televisions.
Throwing rocks is as old as mankind (or unkind). This act of violence will satisfy a deep satisfaction that, alas, I have vented my anger.
The old busted up televisions can then be processes to claim back some of the materials.
Judges can issue mandates where verbal offenders have to serve in these facilities setting up televisions and cleaning up.
What better way to end the life of an old TV that sat there years while people screamed at it.
This simple business, if you want to call it that, can also save countless store windows, teeth and other wanted objects from vandalisation.
